What does the US government’s 1,582-page spending bill have to do with humor?

Why, it reminds us of a satire we wrote back in 2005. While the article in the Wall Street Journal explaining the “potato provision” is not quite as funny as our satire, it’s good to know some humor never goes out of style.

In the spirit of evergreen jokes, we’ll close with this:

Why did the potato cross the road? 

Go on, admit it! You laughed!
