We missed the blueberry picking days at the you-pick farm last month and the birds got to our own berry bushes before we did. So we had to settle for berries picked by someone else.
While we missed a sunny day in the berry field, the store-bought berries were tasty! Since we had plenty, we churned up a Carpenter Country favorite: blueberry ice cream.
Divine Weekly Magazine featured the recipe this week. If you’re a blueberry ice cream lover too, break out your ice cream maker and make a batch for yourself. You won’t be sorry!
Thanks to Sloane Taylor and Divine Magazine for sharing the ice cream!
Another source of delight this week: Sally Cronin of Smorgasbord Blog Magazine picked a Top Drawer Ink post to highlight! Sally chose the guest post by Lainee Cole titled Shelter Dogs and Children Helping Each Other.
We invite you to click here to read the post. We’re sure you’ll understand why Sally highlighted it!
Thank you, Sally! We appreciate your support!
Sunny days are typically a source of delight here in Carpenter Country too. But sometimes dark events happen even on the sunniest of days.
This week’s book bubble describes one such day.
And that’s the news of the week from Carpenter Country! Thanks for traveling with us.
Did you finish your ice cream? 🙂
