Essay — Quiet and Cheap

All’s quiet in Carpenter Country this week, which makes us happy. Quiet equals cheap, and we like cheap, because we’re frugal. We’ve discussed the distinction–and the preference–before (see here).

One benefit of quiet and cheap is having time to enjoy fall colors. In Florida, that means hibiscus–like this beauty, which bloomed, in fleeting, frilly red glory, for a single day.
