“Of course not. I’m not a thief. Our tipster gave me the water. But I see you do know what I’m talking about, after all.”

Jack ignored the taunt. The possibility of anyone drinking the water from the Fountain of Youth made him break out in a sweat colder than the rain dripping down his face. He said, “What did you do with the sample?”

“What?”

“The sample.” Jack ground the words out. “What did you do with it?”

“What difference does it make?”
