Nessa said, “I don’t understand. Why would someone break in and steal a jar of water?”

“Not just any jar of water, Nessa. That one came from the Fountain of Youth.”

“But who knew—” She broke off. “Tenspot?”

“Has to be.” Jack frowned. “He’s the only other person who knows about the water besides you, me and Harey.” And Tia Bella, who still hadn’t returned his call.

“Where is Harey?” Panic filled Nessa’s voice. She dashed across the greenhouse, into the office, as Jack looked under the workbenches. She emerged a second later. “He’s not here!”
