Nessa touched his cheek, then rose on tiptoes to press a soft kiss against his lips. When she drew away, she shot a worried look toward the swirling gray clouds. “We’d better head back.”

She shoved the medal into the pocket of her slicker and started down the path. Jack threw one last glance at the Fountain—or rather, at the place where the Fountain had been—then picked up the container of precious agua and hurried after her.
