“No. This experience, along with the last six weeks of working at the Pryer, convinced me we would have to make drastic changes if we did. A lot of people gobble up fiction passed off as journalism, but that is not the audience we want. Our media properties specialize in solid, honest reporting.”
Solid. Honest. Qualities that were the very essence of Jack. Her heart had known that all along, from the first moment they’d met, when he’d jumped in front of her runaway bike to break her fall.
“I wonder if Tenspot really did call in the tip,” she said.
We’re new to the Audacity, the sound program we use for our audio recordings, and to sound effects in general. These are our thoughts on the current episode.
Recording. We recorded this segment in two takes, after five practice runs with the microphone off.
Technical. Had to edit out a repeated clunk. Turned out the light behind the microphone was tapping against the mic stand.
Comments. Currently reading a book about storytelling techniques. Some can be applied to narration, some can’t. For both narration and storytelling, getting into the scene and the character is vital.
Story changes. Minor changes to the written version this week. The sentence structure and words worked well in the switch from text to audio.
