Below is the text version of the audio.
(Show notes are beneath the text.)
“Of course not. I’m not a thief. Our tipster gave me the water. But I see you do know what I’m talking about, after all.”
Jack exhaled. The possibility of anyone drinking the water from the Fountain of Youth made him break out in a sweat colder than the rain dripping down his face.
“What did you do with the sample?” he asked.
“The sample.” Jack ground the words out. “What did you do with the sample?”
“What do you care?”
We’re new to the Audacity, the sound program we use for our audio recordings, and to sound effects in general. These are our thoughts on the current episode.
Recording. We recorded this segment in five takes, after three practice runs with the microphone off.
Technical. Too much external noise affected the first takes and we couldn’t get the required parameters for publishable audio recording.
Comments. Waiting until the last minute to record is never a good idea, even when the waiting is due to a good cause. And forget about recording when you’ve been sneezing. Even several hours later, the vocal effects are obvious.
Story changes. No changes to the written version this week. The sentence structure and words worked well in the switch from text to audio.
