Below is the text version of the audio.

Tenspot walked to the hole, knelt, and started digging with his hands.
Nessa sat beside Jack, trying to breathe. Trying to stay calm. The crackling fear began to ebb. But her fear for Jack had revealed the truth. She could no longer tell herself that falling for him was too soon or too impossible.
What had Cori said after her first date with Charlie? When you find the right one, there’s no question. Your heart knows.
Her heart knew.
“I got your boot!” Tenspot tugged Jack’s boot out of the hole. He widened the gash around the root even more, then lay on his stomach and peered into the pit. “Hey! I see water gushin’ down there. And a shiny circle, like a coin.”
“Shiny?” Jack said.
“Yeah. Shiny and round.”
Tenspot reached into the hole. When he drew his arm back, a silver medal attached to a broken chain dangled from his fingers.
We’re new to the Audacity, the sound program we use for our audio recordings, and to sound effects in general. These are our thoughts on the current episode.
Recording. We recorded this segment in two takes, after three practice runs with the microphone off.
Technical. This week, we were grateful we had written down our notes for adjusting the audio and taken screen shots of the changes to the character voices.
Comments. After an extended hiatus, we’ve forgotten exactly how to recreate Jack’s voice, and he does not sound the same as he did in earlier installments. Once we are finished with the installments, we intend to go back and record the entire book consecutively so we can publish an official complete audio version.
Story changes. Found two typos and eliminated several “it”s this week. One positive feature of audio work is the enhanced ability to spot mistakes.
