Mr. Tennies smirked. “Little fairies told me.”

“Come on, Tenner. Quit playing games,” Sheriff Garrison said. “Criminal mischief and criminal trespass are both misdemeanors, carrying a sentence of up to sixty days. If Cori and Nessa decide to press charges and you’re convicted in county court, you’re going to jail. Think of your boy. Tenspot needs you.”

Mr. Tennies flinched and pressed his lips together.

“I have a theory, Sheriff,” Jack said.

“Well, spit it out then,” Sheriff Garrison said. “Sure doesn’t look like Tenner is willing to talk.”

Mr. Sterling inched closer.

“Remember the fairies, Nessa?” Jack asked.

We’re new to the Audacity, the sound program we use for our audio recordings, and to sound effects in general. These are our thoughts on the current episode.

Recording. We recorded this segment in two takes, after one practice run with the microphone off.

Technical. Background noise was high this week because we were not fully inside the sound booth. Fixing the background noise made the recording fail the ACX check. Time to re-record. 🙁

Comments. We have believed that recording at the beginning of the day was easier. Lately we’ve noticed that the recordings sound better when done in the evening, when the voice is more fluid, presumably after being exercised during the day.

Story changes. One change to the written version this week: moved Mr. Sterling’s motion down one paragraph to make him more interested in what Jack had to say.
