Below is the text version of the audio.

“That’s right.” He tipped his head. “Moran Tennies, Sr., scandal sheet tipster, at your service. Called the Luminary too.”

“But why?” Nessa whispered.

“As if you don’t know.” He snorted.  “I have to earn a living. My wife and I had a successful partnership as investment counselors until I made the mistake of buying into your brother’s last fraud. We lost everything we owned, including our reputation.”

“What are you talking about?” Jack asked.

“Drop the clueless act,” Mr. Tennies said. “Nessa told you yesterday why Bradley went to prison.”

“How—how could you know what we talked about?” Nessa asked.

We’re new to the Audacity, the sound program we use for our audio recordings, and to sound effects in general. These are our thoughts on the current episode.

Recording. We recorded this segment in two takes, after three practice runs with the microphone off.

Technical. No amount of adjustment can make a nasal voice sound good. Had to dump the first effort, do additional warm-up, and re-record.

Comments. We were off on the timing again today. Recording sessions are the only time we realize how noisy Carpenter Country is.

Story changes. No changes to the written version this week. The sentence structure and words worked well in the switch from text to audio.
