Below is the text version of the audio.
(Show notes are beneath the text.)

Tim Sterling scrambled from the antique car and waved his arms. Brake lights flashed as the pickup swerved. Jack raced to the cab of the truck. He yanked open the door open and pulled out the driver. The two of them tumbled to the ground. The truck rolled across the drive, up the embankment, crashed into a tree, and stalled. The din of the gale-force wind seemed even louder after the engine died.

Jack jumped to his feet and yanked his captive upright. The gaunt features were unmistakable.

“Mr. Tennies!” Nessa stopped beside Jack.

Tenspot’s father glowered at her. “So you got me. Now what?”

“Now we tell the sheriff we caught the real vandal,” Jack said.

SHOW NOTES

We’re new to the Audacity, the sound program we use for our audio recordings, and to sound effects in general. These are our thoughts on the current episode.

Recording. We recorded this segment in three takes, after three practice runs with the microphone off.

Technical. We had the wrong mic selected for the first take and had to re-do. Forgot that we had disconnected the mic for a different project earlier in the week. 🙁

Comments. Even though the sound booth is fairly well insulated, the air conditioner makes a lot of background noise. We were able to filter most of that noise out.

Story changes. Minor changes to the written version this week. The original ending seemed a bit rushed.
