The US State Department issued a new warning today to US citizens who intend to travel between A Rock and A Hard Place.
“This is an extremely perilous journey,” says Hobson S. Choice, a Department spokesperson. “Americans visiting the region need to be aware they may become stuck in the middle of impossible circumstances.”
The area between A Rock and A Hard Place has been recognized as dangerous since the time of Homer. However, today’s warning is the first official acknowledgement that those making the trip to the popular destination will find no easy road.
Experts say the warning was provoked by recent evidence linking A Rock and A Hard Place to very difficult choices that can lead to emotional bruises. These experts say the problem is that once travelers arrive between A Rock and A Hard Place, they discover they have no wiggle room.
Instead, they find themselves in a tight spot, forced to decide between equally unpleasant alternatives. Any choice might cause problems, and no choice will satisfy everyone.
“We urge Americans to restrict roaming in the area between A Rock and A Hard Place,” the warning concludes. “We cannot guarantee your progress in this region.”
The Department also announced the potential issuance of a warning for another familiar tourist hotspot: The Horns of a Dilemma.
